Popeye Was Right

veggie protienWhen people consider protein the first thing that comes to mind is a big steak. One of those Texas ribeyes sizzling and thick grizzle on the side, marbled throughout, with just a little pink in the center. However, what happens when the fact that spinach has more protein than steak is discovered? Popeye was right.

http://www.fatsecret.com/calories-nutrition/usda/spinach?portionid=48969&portionamount=1.000

Of the top 10 vegetable proteins 6 beat out steak! The number 1 being the secret to Popeye’s strength, SPINACH! Now the caveat is that it takes 1lb of it to get 13g. It may sound like a large amount but not when it is in a smoothie or broken into a few meals. It all comes down to getting healthy, start the day with a green smoothie with as much spinach as will fit with some apple, pineapple, or banana to make it sweeter. Another for lunch with a trusted supplement routine of a meal replacement shake and 6 oz steak dinner with raw veggies and a whole days worth of vitamins and minerals will make the the Better You as fit as a fiddle.

mnsProtein deficiency is often overlooked, since people and media tend to focus on one vitamin, mineral, or nutrient.

Health is an interconnected network of protein, vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and micronutrients that are required daily and the modern farming system just does not allow food to cover. Get what you can from your foods (as close to the grower as possible) and supplement to round it out to bring the Better You to their prime. Overall…be like Popeye.

What’s Inside Counts

qualityThere is no shortcut when cutting corners, only heartache and frustration when it becomes exposed. Along with a loss of reputation that has lasting damage. There is a lot of trust that is put into a label and those who stand by it. So, it is quite troubling when major suppliers embarrass themselves by hoodwinking their customers, as noted in this post from Sister Earth Organics:

https://sisterearthorganics.wordpress.com/2015/02/17/major-retailers-caught-selling-fake-vitaminherbal-supplements/

Due to modern farming techniques it is virtually impossible to get the required nutrients to build the Better You without supplements. Even with a serious commitment and a diet entirely of organics, supplements are still necessary to provide the essential array of vitamins and minerals for a healthy body. Combine this with the desire to save a few bucks and the effort become more daunting.

informed choiceIt is key have a supplement line that is tested, trusted, and has a reputation that is backed by an impartial organization. Professional athletes, a board of doctors, and individuals accepting the challenge to cleanse and be healthy trust in verifiable products. Use them to bring forth the Better You.

Coming Up Short

open-uri20121222-17485-9jvq36What we eat is what provides the fuel for our bodies along with the materials that will be used to build it up. The question is how does the food you eat make you feel? You feel sluggish? You feel fatigued? You feel bloated? You feel heavy? You feel fat? When the body does not get the vitamins and minerals it needs then these feelings come. Fact of the matter is that without nutrients the body is not satiated and does not replenish itself appropriately. Even when a person is eating a balanced meal the food itself is not nutrient dense, meaning that you would have to eat an exorbant amount of it and it still would not have enough of what is needed for optimum performance and growth. That is why supplements are so necessary in todays modern diet to not come up short.

In the modern factory farm system the soil does not replensish its nutrients so fertilizers are used and these ferilizers do not have the full spectrum of nutrients that would be provided through the natural growth and decay process. Yielding crops that may be more numerous and bigger, but not rich in what the body needs for health. When the needs are not met you stay hungry, which can in turn increase fat storage, create health issues, sickness, and imbalance. To overcome this an intense fitness regimen is key along with a healthy lifestyle that includes a supplement regimen that incorporates the lack of vitamins and minerals.

Achieving intake of vitamins and minerals allows the body to balance out, giving more energy to perform throughout the day. It permits top performance of the body that sheds unnecessary pounds to bring forth the Better You, who is vibrant and can take on the world. The amount of fitness that is done determines the speed of the accomplishment and is what builds up the discipline to stay healthy and become the vision that you want to put forth.

Emotional Money

14449_697684366925219_757289560_nThe fear of loss is greater than the need for gain. This statement applies to the so many aspects of life it is unsettling. It is due to the connection with negative emotion and money. People are unwilling to lose their station, of just getting by, so much that they are not willing to gain the discipline to elevate themselves to heights they only dream about. People do not want to lose the junk foods  they eat in order to gain health, energy, and a better quality of life. People are unwilling to spend money to gain the acceleration and benefits of supplements. You have to let go of the known to reach what you desire. If it could happen doing what you are doing now you would already have it. The root of food, health, and supplements is money. “Good food costs too much.” “Work keeps me so busy, I can’t go to the gym.” “Supplements are so expensive.” In the end these are negative emotions that have put a strangle hold on your success. Money is: Management Of Negative Emotions, Yours When you relieve yourself of the burdens of the negative emotions and put forth what is necessary to succeed the whole world opens up. It happens over time and it takes guarding your thinking to accomplish. Protect your attitude to carry you to become the Champion you are and achieve the Better You. Take advantage of the resources available. Regards, Clifford Mitchem Advocare Distributor Nutrition + Fitness = Health http://www.AdvoCare.com/13087657 logo

Well Built or Well Greased

funny-pic-inside-human-body-foodWhich describes you? Eating nutritious foods, working out, and taking supplements will work wonders in creating the chiseled, well defined, and well built you. Eating fat food, sitting on your rump, and being on the computer all day will create the typical picture of an American, well greased.

From this point forward accept the challenge to build the Better You! Through identifiying the root causes of setbacks a foundation can be made and construction begin. First, how do you feel about your energy level? mental attitude? self-image? What fear has held up the progress? The mind must determine what needs to be accomplished and what the desired finished product is to visualize how to get to the end result.

Now, it is about action! Constantly tell the little negative voice STFU! You have decided to be the Better You and that is what is going to happen. People know the foods to avoid and the little actions that will bring them closer to the goal, just do them. There are no ribbons for good effort and there is change only through completion. Plan your work and work your plan!

Its not the enemy that you must fight, its the inner me that you must build.

Chew Yu Foo

slow-down-chew-your-foodLong ago there was discovered an ancient martial art that allows the body to incorporate the wild herbs of the field and the game there abouts into itself. It is effective constant repetition of one motion and can be mastered in a short time. The ancient art is called…Chew Yu Foo! Or in the common tongue…Chew Your Food!

The motion is very simple and is illustrated in this step by step picture guide:

http://www.wikihow.com/Chew-Your-Food

Chewing is the first part of digestion and is highly underappreciated. For optimum nutritional benefit, after a wholesome nutrient and supplement filled diet is established, it comes down to surface area that the stomach acid has to maximize the breakdown into usable material. This is achieved by chewing each bite 32+ times, which allows saliva to thoroughly be incorporated, juice to be masticated, and flavor to be satiated.

Proper chewing only comes from habit. In the beginning you count and time yourself to determine when you have completely chewed the nutritous food you have enjoyed. It also helps that it be something that you really have a taste for. So you can get every bit of flavor out of it. After a while your discipline will just know when you have chewed enough without even thinking.

This futher allows the body to recognize that it is full before being stuffed or gourged. In turn eating less, absorbing more, and creating a Better You.

Ebola and Virus Care

1001560_10201852998430317_815381779_nEbola is the hot topic right now, but the flu virus is far more prevalent and deadly. The best defense against any virus is to have your offense at its peak. When it comes to a virus pills, potions, and cure alls pail to the abilities of a strong immune system. Oxygenation and vitamin utilization are the critical performers in body’s offense against invaders. Antibiotics are highly effective against bacterial infections and illnesses, but against viruses leave much to be desired. Whereas, fitness brings in the oxygen and nutrition supplys vitamin weapons.

When you exert yourself the massive deep breaths bring in cleansing and virus destroying oxygen that attacks cancer as well. These maladies do not survive in oxygen rich environments. Deep breathing can even be done sitting at your desk. The sweat that is produced flushes your body of toxins that distract and weaken the immune system, forcing it to spread the focus from viruses to toxic junk foods, undigest meats, and unprocessable sugars.

By accepting the challenge and eating vitamins and minerals ensures that cells in your body have all of the materials to create the protiens needed to stay on the look out and attack foreign substances. When white blood cells have all that they require they destroy the protien coating that viruses, bacteria, and cancer cells have around them. Your food is the medicine that will work the best to give you health.

Let’s Talk Food Money

bullshitThe average breakfast costs $5, most people just have a coffee or a coffee and a pastry. Multiply that by 5 days a week and 4 weeks in a month, we get $100. The average lunch costs $12, if you want fat food (I mean fast food) you are really only saving $3-4. Multiply that by 5 days a week and 4 weeks in a month, we get $240. The average dinner costs $17, this is not counting adult beverages or tip. Multiply that by 5 days a week and 4 weeks in a month, we get $340. This is $34/day, $170/week, and $680/month that is spent on food that for the most part is highly processed, unhealthy, and genetically modified.

If you say that is not what I spend SMACK YOURSELF, every sentence in question started with “the” then said “average”. Your poor diet is messing with your cognitive abilities. Make adjustments for your personal case. Now think about every time you said “no” to yourself, your spouse, your children, or your friends because you did not have money. More than likely a different reason was given, but the root is based off of money. This quick calculation is based off one person, what happens when it is a second in a household? when it is the children as well? How much is being spent on crap?

A change needs to be made and it begins with a challenge. One that cleans up your body from all that processed junk. Then, gives your body the vitamins and minerals that it needs to build the Better You. Finally, if you are going to get healthy save money doing it and if you are really serious make money by helping others.

How Bad Do You Want It

971924_207663812690927_715886464_nYou have embarked on this journey because you have a vision. A vision of a healthy and Better You. One that has energy, feels confident, has outstanding performance, and looks so good that the haters are driven crazy. Accept the challenge and step towards your vision not away.

Cravings and temptations are fleeting so just wait them out, keep your goal in mind. The vision you have is your anchor, your anchor is what you want most, and as long as you have that you can weather through whatever comes. To take what is in front of you right now means you have to give up on what want most. The discipline that you have developed has made you stronger, you can do it.

There are such things as cheats, what would be the point in all of the effort put in if there is no enjoyment? A single cheat (within reason) is not what this is about. This is about maintaining the path of nutrtious eating, sticking to a consistent fitness program, and getting your supplements to enhance your efforts. All of this will get you to be the healthy and Better You, which is what you want most.
